  • Grout — proper grout between tiles, no gaps
  • Skirting tiles — walls ke bottom pe — properly fixed

3. Doors aur Windows

Main Door:

  • Frame properly fixed
  • Door smoothly open/close hota hai
  • Lock working — key test karo
  • Weather strip — bottom mein hai

Interior Doors:

  • All doors smoothly operate
  • Handles working
  • Locks/latches working
  • No gap between door and frame (major gap = problem)

Windows:

  • Frames properly installed — no gap with wall
  • Glass intact — no cracks
  • Latches working — open/close smooth
  • Grills — securely fixed
  • Fly mesh (mosquito net) — agar promised

4. Plumbing aur Bathrooms

  • Taps — all taps turn on, water pressure check karo
  • Geysers — connection point hai, earthing hai
  • Shower — water flow check karo
  • WC flush — flush properly working, tank fills properly
  • Basin — water drains properly, no blockage
  • Floor drain — slope toward drain (pour water — check drainage)
  • Drainage pipes — no leakage at joints
  • Water pressure — adequate at all points
  • Hot water lines (agar geysers builder ne diya) — working hai

5. Kitchen

  • Platform/Countertop — level, no cracks
  • Sink — properly fixed, drainage working
  • Tiles — backsplash tiles intact, grout done
  • Provision for chimney — slot/pipe outlet hai
  • Provision for washing machine — water inlet/outlet point
  • Power points — at right locations

6. Electrical

  • All switches working — every switch test karo
  • Plug points — test with a small device (phone charger)
  • Lights and fan points — ceiling points complete
  • MCB (main board) — properly labeled
  • Earthing — check karo (electrician ya multimeter se verify)
  • AC provisions — copper pipe sleeve, power point, drain provision
  • Doorbell — working
  • Intercom — if promised, working

7. Balcony aur Terrace (If Any)

  • Railing — securely fixed, height adequate
  • Waterproofing — balcony should have slope for drainage
  • Floor — anti-skid tiles ya proper finish
  • Drainage — water drains out

8. Terrace (If Accessible)

  • Waterproofing — no cracks in roof
  • Overhead tank — installed, clean

9. Utility/Store Room

  • Walls clean
  • Door working
  • No seepage

What If Builder Refuses to Fix?

  • Consumer forum — consumer protection cases laye hain homebuyers
  • Legal notice — lawyer se bhejwao
